Pudwise

Perfect Yorkshires. Every time.

Terms of Use

Effective 1 September 2026. Pudwise is made by Oldman AI Solutions Inc. of Coaldale, Alberta, Canada. Using Pudwise means you agree to what is written here.

What Pudwise is

Pudwise takes one trusted Yorkshire pudding recipe and adjusts it for your elevation, humidity, oven, pan, fat and batch size. It also keeps a bake journal, offers a troubleshooter, and hosts a moderated public feed called the rise board.

What Pudwise is not

It is baking guidance grounded in how batter behaves, not a laboratory instrument and not food safety advice. Ovens vary, ingredients vary, and the numbers Pudwise gives you are a well-reasoned starting point rather than a guarantee. You are the one at the oven: use your judgement, and follow normal safe food handling. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for a disappointing dinner, a burnt tin, or any loss that follows from using the app.

Your account

You need an account to save anything. Keep your password to yourself, give us an email address you actually control, and do not share an account with someone else. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.

What Pudwise costs

Nothing. Pudwise is free to use: there is no price, no trial counting down, no subscription, and nothing to cancel. We never ask for a card, so there is nothing to refund.

We are not promising it will be free forever, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we will promise is this: if we ever start charging, we will say so in the app first, anything you have already saved stays yours, and you will keep being able to read it and to export or delete it.

The rise board

Anything you share to the rise board is reviewed by a moderator before anyone else sees it. By posting you confirm the photo and the words are yours to share, and you give us permission to show them inside Pudwise. You keep ownership of what you post.

Please do not post:

  • anything that is not about baking
  • other people’s photos, or photos of people who have not agreed to appear
  • anything hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or illegal
  • advertising, spam, or links to elsewhere
  • personal information about anyone, including yourself

There is no tolerance on the rise board for objectionable content or for abusing other bakers. We decline or remove anything that breaks these rules, and we can suspend or remove the account of anyone who posts objectionable content or harasses other bakers. Every post and comment has a Report button, and you can block anyone whose posts you would rather not see. If we get it wrong, email us and a person will look again.

Fair use of the app

Use Pudwise as an app, not as a target. No scraping, no automated hammering of the service, no attempts to reach other bakers’ data, and no reselling or repackaging Pudwise itself as your own product. A recipe you generate for your own kitchen, or for the dinner you are cooking someone, is entirely yours to use.

Availability

Pudwise is in beta and run by a small company. We do not promise uptime, and we may change or withdraw features. If we ever shut Pudwise down, we will say so in advance and give you a way to get your data out.

Your data

What we collect and how we handle it is set out in the Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything that matters, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app. Carrying on using Pudwise after that means the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing here takes away consumer rights you have under Alberta or Canadian law.
